Gather
uHuman sponsors in-person & online Self Management and Recovery Training (SMART) Recovery meetings at Arts & Literature Laboratory in Madison, and online.
Facilitated by Morgan D. Stewart, these meetings focus largely on the universality of creativity and its essential role in behavioral change processes, the artist will be expanding the capacity of participants to consider themselves as creative, resourceful, and capable individuals.

These meetings also serve as a meaningful connection to others in the community.
NO LABELS
You don’t have to identify as an alcoholic or share in meetings if you’re not ready. Come as you are and take what you can.
NO CHIPS
You don’t have to be abstaining from your problem behavior to attend, and we know that lapses happen. Find support and tools to get back on your own path towards what wellness looks like for you.
NO RELIGION REQUIRED
You don’t have to ascribe to belief in a “higher power” or consider yourself “powerless” over your addictive behavior. Try out some research-backed, practical approaches, including those from art therapy disciplines to help you lead a more balanced life.
