MADISON, WI - This month, Madison residents are invited to do something different: reconnect with their creativity as a pathway to healing.
uHuman’s CREATIVE RECOVERY FEST, hosted by Madison-based multimedia company and community organization uHuman, will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the Arts + Literature Laboratory (Art Lit Lab).
This all-day event brings together artists, wellness advocates, people in recovery, and community members for a shared experience centered on creativity, connection, and wellbeing. Through hands-on workshops and interactive sessions, attendees are invited to explore what it means to “recover creativity” in a supportive, accessible space.
CREATIVE RECOVERY FEST offerings include immersive arts and wellness workshops, creativity coaching, a vegan cooking demonstration led by a holistic nutritionist, and relaxation sessions with a licensed massage therapist. A bilingual Spanish-English workshop will help expand access for more community members.
The event will also feature a live recording of uHuman’s Creative Recovery Podcast, as heard on Wisconsin Public Radio’s Wisconsin Life. Attendees can participate in a live audience Q&A with a public speaker and State Assembly candidate, exploring issues like arts access, wellness, and affordability in Wisconsin.
Admission is free as an act of community care. A suggested contribution of $20 at registration helps support uHuman’s ongoing work.
