1 / Is the CREATIVE RECOVERY FEST! only for people in recovery?
This celebratory event is for everyone, not just folks in recovery! Recovering the power of creativity and engaging in community can improve quality of life for all humans, whether or not you identify as someone who has addictive behaviors or not.
2 / The FEST! says it's all day. I can't stay that long. Will it be disruptive for me to come for one or two sessions and leave?
Feel free to pick one session or stay all day...the FEST! is a casual, revolving door experience, not a formal conference. The event schedule makes clear what times the workshops begin. The other experiences are first-come, first-served, and more info. will be available at the Welcome tables on the day.
3 / There are different ticket and pricing options for the FEST! including free. Why is that? And why should I pay anything if there is a way to get in for free?
A $20 contribution at registration is strongly encouraged. However, the event is free to those who can't afford to contribute right now, and we've also set up options for those who can afford to be more generous.
Every dollar you give supports our ambitious mission to create a cooperatively-owned media company that offers equitable & affordable housing to its member-owners. Additional proceeds will help cover event & labor costs.
We plan to launch a KIVA campaign to help fund costs associated with leasing a dedicated meeting, event, and media production space for our future members, and are looking into property acquisition to begin building out the affordable housing element, which is essential to our business model.
